Our last competition was Buckminster BE100 which didnt go to plan in the showjumping. Since this event we have taken Guy to a friends grass arena to make sure all was ok. With the ground rock hard we thought it would be a wise decision to compete on a surface this weekend.
ValeView had Trailblazers showjumping on which was idea. I havent jumped at vale view for a few years but knew it had superb facilities and a new large indoor school. Horses were to jump in the afternoon, we went for the 85cm class using this class as a warm up. Guy went around the course in a real confident manner and even got quite annoyed when I forgot the twisty course! Popping him in to the 95cm again he whizzed around the course getting a bit cheeky and trying to take charge but feeling fantastic. All I wanted to come away from this competition was a happy horse and a conclusion it was more than likely me not feeling 100% at Buckminster. Over the tannoy I heard I had come 2nd in a strong class so was more than VERY pleased especially to get some prize money!! Great feeling when the 105cm looked quite jumpable too:)!!
